Seller’s Description:Beauty and the beast! A Jeep J3M Commando Mexican military personnel carrier. Factory built in Mexico by VAM, the manufacturer of Jeep and AMC vehicles. J3M’s were built from 1977 to 1984. The front half a CJ5 with a J20 bed on a heavy duty J40 chassis. Over built to military specifications. Configure in this fashion so the machine gun could shoot forward compared to a standard cab truck. American drive train to include AMC power steering and power front disc brakes/drum brakes rear, GM Saginaw four speed transmission, Dana front and rear axles, Warner hubs. Mexican manufactured Ford 302 (higher nickel alloy then US built). Original 2 barrel Autolite carburetor with new accelerator pump.
