This is a project and does not run.. I won’t have time to work on this for several weeks, so I’ve decided to see if will sell. Please read the entire ad.. then ask any questions you have.

Ok, now to the details:

A rare opportunity awaits with this unusual find. 1980 Jeep CJ-7 Renegade. Unusual as it’s very clean with original paint, and nearly entirely rust free.. it has one isolated

spot under the license plate area. That one spot is a bit of a mystery to me.. as I see what looks to be bondo around the rust area.. I’m guessing the rust area had been touched up in the past with bondo.. I don’t see evidence of previous collision.. and I do believe the rest of the vehicle is original paint. I can’t detect where this “touch up” area ended. Floors are very clean. Underside seams are also very clean.. showing surface rust, but very solid.

It is also a true renegade.. not a clone as often seen. 1979/80 were the only years with this really cool decal package. It is equipped with a factory tach, clock, power steering and power brakes. Very original and un-modified (other than a shackle lift).

As stated, it is a project. I bought it last year with the original 6 cylinder in it.. that was bad. It was still in running/driving condition. Previous owner had done a lot of work.. but alas, it had a rod knock. I removed the bad motor last week. My plan has been to put an AMC V8 in it. It came from the factory with a T-4 (4 speed manual transmission) and Dana 300 transfer case. I have a rebuilt 304 and a known, good running, used 360.. These are available separately. Ask for details.

Take a close look at the pictures.. again, a project. I don’t claim to know all the ins and outs with this Jeep. It’s fairly new to me.. but I have crawled around it pretty well.. have detail cleaned some of the nooks and crannies and have been very pleased and surprised at how clean it is.

Please note: I have not titled this in my name. It is a signed Utah title in the previous owners name.. some people have a problem with this.. not sure why. But if you do, please do not bid.

I am happy to do an over the phone walk around, face time, or additional pictures for serious buyers only. I have a reserve that I feel is very fair and intend to sell the Jeep.. not waste people’s time with an unrealistic reserve. I request a $1000 deposit at close of auction. Balance to be paid at pickup or via wire or Bitcoin. 5% discount for paying in cash at pickup.

Thanks and good luck!
