Seller’s Description:Beauty and the beast! A Jeep J3M Commando Mexican military personnel carrier. Factory built in Mexico by VAM, the manufacturer of Jeep and AMC vehicles. J3M’s were built from 1977 to 1984. The front half a CJ5 with a J20 bed on a heavy duty J40 chassis. Over built to military specifications. Configure in this fashion so the machine gun could shoot forward compared to a standard cab truck. American drive train to include AMC power steering and power front disc brakes/drum brakes rear, GM Saginaw four speed transmission, Dana front and rear axles, Warner hubs. Mexican manufactured Ford 302 (higher nickel alloy then US built). Original 2 barrel Autolite carburetor with new accelerator pump. Double wall bed with bench seat brackets and even a machine gun mounting plate. Side mount spare tire, Jerry jug mounts, two piece doors. New tires, new fuel tank, new oil, amp, temp gauges with speedo in MPH and the original in KM/H. New radio delete cover and shift knob (not shown in photo but is installed). New brake master cylinder. New black bikini top, seat belts, shift knob, rear tail light lens and assemblies. New alternator and starter relay. Tuneup to include new spark plugs, points, condenser and air cleaner. Replacement shifter plate which will be installed prior to delivery. Much larger then a standard CJ5 with oversized heavy gauge front fenders and running boards. Obviously four wheel drive. Runs and drives perfect. Approximately 30500 original miles. Appears to have not been put into military service. There are no holes in the machine gun plate. This is a very rare and unique Jeep particularly in this fine of condition. May be the only one in the US. Clean state inspected vehicle with North Carolina registration. Delivery or assistance with delivery may be possible. A 10% deposit will be required prior to delivery via wire transfer. Final payment by wire transfer, certified bank check or cash. Hot wife not included.
