1951 Willys Jeep M 38 Military 31579 Miles Camo/drab Green Jeep 3 Spd Manual
The Willys M38 was introduced in 1950 as a post-WWII military Jeep based on the CJ-3A. A 1/4 ton 4×4 the M38 was known as a light tactical vehicle and the successor of the Willys-MB but with improved features. M38s were fitted with many military-specific features including a one-piece windshield bottom-mounted wiper hitch for towing tools (axe and shovel) and a fuel filler on the driver’s side. M38s had a stronger frame and suspension components than those of its civilian sibling the CJ-3A. They also had larger wheels/tires (16″) for rougher terrains. An estimated total of 45473 units were produced. Our 1951 M38 is in very good condition. It has experienced a partial restoration including new ‘Camo/Drab Green’ paint in 2016. (The owner has included receipts for all of the restoration parts/work.) The 134ci ‘Go Devil” flathead 4-cylinder engine was totally rebuilt and sounds great. A new radiator was installed and the 3-speed transmission is mated to a 2wd/4wd Hi/Lo Spicer 18 transfer case. The brake system has been thoroughly reconditioned and drivetrain seals have been replaced. It is a solid restoration. Become the next owner of this M38 and have some fun.
