Jeep Wrangler Truck Conversion
This conversion started as a rust free southern 1997 Wrangler. I Swapped in 6.0L LQ9 out of an escalade. (new seals, gaskets and fully inspected while it was out) This thing has no trouble turning 37’s…4L60e Transmission with a Lokar shifter. It has JK Rubicon Dana 44 axles which widen the stance to 65” plus tires. It is geared to 5.13. The axles are trussed front and rear. The frame was stretched 24 inches between the axles (cut then used ¼ slugs that were plug welded then 316 fish plated on the outside). Frame was then internally coated with the Eastwood internal frame coating. Frame was also extended 17 inches behind the rear axle to create the rear winch mount. I Used a 3/16 steel closeout welded to the tub to finish the cab. The bed is a Ute aluminum tray with fold down sides, front and rear headache rack. Weighs roughly 250 lbs including the mounts. This truck took me 2 years to build. I covered every detail and didn’t take any shortcuts. It’s an attention getter for sure. If you don’t mind the rumble of a hotrod or people taking pictures, staring and talking to you at red lights, gas stations, restaurants etc. this may be your kind of ride (not even kidding). If you have questions, Please ask. This truck is set on GO! Sounds awesome, pulls super strong and drives out great. It’s super fun to drive. I have a wife and 2 kids that love to ride but this is only a 2 seater which is the only reason I am considering selling. 6.0 LQ9 4L60E automatic transmission Lokar shifter 3/16 steel cab closeout welded to the tub Ute Aluminum tray with fold down sides and front/rear headache racks Tub has Line-X on the interior floors, firewall and undercarriage Floors are insulated with lizard skin Bed Rug carpet Tuffy Security console Pyle double din radio with Navigation, Bluetooth etc…Twice the size of stock in a modified dash Dakota digital gauges Dash camera Reverse camera Custom switch panels Led Headlights LED offroad lights, Bed Lights, rear lights.
