2005 Jeep Wrangler

For consignment, a frame off restored and upgraded Wrangler right out of 2005 with a long arm lift kit, like new knobby tires, a rebuilt transmission, and more add-ons than a Hollywood starlet.  All in excellent condition ready to get a little mud on the tires.  Oh, and did I mention the very durable Raptor lined body and tub interior?  Read on and let’s do some offroading together.  “Climb every mountain…”

Exterior

Graphite Gray Raptor liner coats the rust free steel body, which maintains the factory gaps and displays nicely with custom black steel bumpers and black flexible fender flares.  For the black textured front bumper we note a Warn VR 10-S winch with a corded remote along with some D-rings to help should your pals get stuck on the trails.  On the back we note another texture lined XRV bumper with a trailer hitch and more D-rings for pulling your buddy out of the muck and mire since he didn’t learn the first time.  16-inch Mammoth wheels which are wrapped in nearly new LT315/75R16 mud slingers with a matching spare hanging on the carrier out back are on to help you get through the deepest mud you can find.  The long running and instantly recognizable Jeep grille leads the way with some black highlighting and is flanked by traditional black highlighted round LED headlights.  The exterior latched hood leads back to the slightly raked windshield which gives support to a nice black canvas top with tinted windows that can be pulled back making an open cockpit and rear passenger area.  A note and big shout out to the rust free body that presents so nicely you’d be afraid to scratch it up.  “Search high and low…”

Interior

A climb inside and we see dark charcoal gray cloth with zig-zag black patterning making up the seats.  These are front buckets and a rear bench and are very clean despite the age and miles accrued on the odometer.  The dash utilizes more charcoal for its plastic as well and presents very nicely.  A multi-gauge cluster sits in front of the driver and in the center of the dash is the factory AM/FM/CD player along with factory heater control knobs and ventilation outlets.  New charcoal gray all weather carpet covers the floors and is protected by rubber floor mats.  As a bonus, our consignor notes that the entire tub was Raptor lined during the restoration so rust should never be an issue in the future.  2 shifters, one for the transmission and one for the transfer case grow from the console which also provides cupholders, a 12-volt power point,  the parking brake, and an ample sized storage compartment.  In the rear storage compartment clean charcoal gray carpet is seen.  A very nice overall interior.  “Follow every byway…”

Drivetrain

The regasketed and resealed 4.0 liter inline 6-cylinder turns this 4×4’s screws and is aided in doing so by electronic fuel injection.  A rebuilt 6-speed manual transmission that puts out 190hp. is bolted to the back.  Dana is in charge of the axles with a 30 series in front and a 44 series in the rear, both holding 4.88 gearing and TrueTrac limited slip differentials to help you climb your way over every obstacle that gets in your path.  We note new drive shafts for the front and rear along with slip yoke eliminator kits being installed.  Keeping things cool is a new water pump and radiator and our consignor states that new plugs and wires were recently installed on the engine.  “Every path you know…”

Undercarriage

Raptor liner in black covers all components of the undercarriage save for the glasspack equipped single exhaust system.  All is straight and solid for the frame, flooring, rockers and suspension underneath.  Independent coil springs upfront with Teraflex 4″ Pro LCG long arm lift kit have been installed for the ride and more of the same from Teraflex is seen on the back with the addition of a Belly Up skid plate for all of your 4 wheelin adventures.  Fully redone power disc brakes are seen on the 4 corners and new wheel bearings have been installed as well.  “Fjord every stream…”

Drive-Ability

This baby fired right up, ran smoothly, and all 4 x 4 gears worked perfectly.  A bit of a ride, but based on the height, pretty good.  The tires sing a bit when you cruise, and unfortunately the Classic Auto Mall test area does not have anything over 10 feet in altitude to try to climb but on the test track things were coming up all aces with full functionality, down to the rebuilt AC system with new lines and a new compressor.

A frame off restored and all good condition Wrangler, complete with lift kit, Mammoth wheels and knobby rubber, as well as a nice interior and convertible top if you will.  This truck is ready to take you where no man has gone before, or at least the wilds of this country where you can reach new heights and sing its praises.
