Up for Auction is my 1999 Jeep Wrangler (TJ) Sport 2-Door 4.0L I6. It has extensive modifications and was built as an off-road oriented trail and mud warrior. Well over $20,000 was put into the modification and restoration of this Wrangler. It is in excellent mechanical condition, though it is over twenty years old, so there are some issues that need attention.

Most notably, the body mounting points are beginning to show signs of rust and will need new points welded on most likely within the next year or so. There is a check engine-light that has been persistent for some time. My Jeep mechanic advised that it’s a code related to the exhaust system and that it may be in need of a new catalytic converter and/or O2 sensors. The rear main seal has a very small drip leak when parking after driving, about 2-3 drops per drive. A/C condenser has a small hole and needs to be repaired for the AC to function properly.

As for the modifications and upgrades; they are extensive. Very little on this car is original. As far as I know, the only major mechanical part of the vehicle that is original are the gears of the transmission and the 4WD transfer case. The transmission itself received a new clutch in 2018 (about ~15,000 miles ago). Major modifications are as follows:

Throttle Down Kustoms galvanized steel frame.

ATK remanufactured crate engine (4.0 straight 6)

ECGS remanufactured front and rear axles with locking differential powered by ARB air compressor and custom gearing.

Complete suspension overhaul. (Curry 4″ suspension with Blistein shocks)

35 inch wheels (General Grabber M/T tires)

PCS high-powered steering pump

Tom Wood’s custom driveshaft.

Front and rear disc brakes

Mishimoto aluminum radiator.

Warn synthetic rope winch.

LED headlights, taillights and foglights.

Smittybuilt front and rear steel bumpers.

The Jeep spent the last few years in my care in Miami Florida, but was recently relocated to NYC with me. Since I live in the city now, it is not practical to keep as I no longer have the space to store it and rarely drive it. It is a true off-road monster. It receives compliments everywhere it goes. It is available for inspection and for test drives for serious buyers only. Payment must be received within 7 days of auction end. I will accept cash, bank transfer (wire), certified/cashier’s check. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick-up and delivery.

Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
