1982 Jeep CJ Vintage Chrome 4 Wheel Drive off road Manual Transmission SBC
With an awesome custom style, fuel-injected V8 power, and the control of a five-speed, this 1982 Jeep CJ7 is the custom classic 4×4 that loves to have a head-turning style while also enhancing its ability.
While any proper CJ is a terrific off-road machine, we have a feeling you’ll really love to use this one for rolling through town. After all, the full custom paint theme deserves to be seen by everyone. The bright silver metallic has a burning fade that shifts from orange to red, and then the blue provides a vapor tail against the black. It has the look of a shooting star running across the night sky. So it’s very cool and still keeps a touch of that outdoor-oriented style you love in a Jeep. And there’s plenty more flair with the bright 15-inch wheels, wide fender flares, and the cool CJ Seven hood graphic. But we bet you’ve also spotted plenty of substance to go with the style. You have a full tubular steel protection kit with the front bumper, side steps, and rear bumper. There’s an off-road jack mounted on the hood, a proper trailer hitch, a full-size spare, and the KC lights know how to show the way forward.
This one likes to be open to the world, and so the interior is both stylish and functional. It has the practical features you want, like a roll bar and front shoulder seatbelts. Plus there are added comforts like the AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth, USB, and modern speakers. The seats are one of the coolest parts of the build. They are finished in cloth to make it easier to hop in with shorts on, and that houndstooth is a GM muscle car favorite that is a subtle hint at the upgrade under the hood. Any time you want to keep the sunshine off your shoulders, there’s also a bikini top. There are nice driver upgrades, like the billet sports steering wheel, tilt column, upgraded gauges, and a Hurst floor shifter.
The engine bay has been upgraded to a very cool powerhouse. This is a 305 cubic-inch V8 borrowed from a 3rd gen Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z. That also means it’s a powerhouse born with fuel injection. There are nice details. Some are for show, like the modern Camaro engine covers, and pieces like the electric fan add to the practicality. It fires up readily as a proper FI machine should, and the header-fed exhaust has a nice tune. The five-speed manual transmission is a great way to give you full control over this upgraded powerhouse. And control is also desirable when you are utilizing the two-speed 4×4 transfer case. Those Cooper Discoverer S/T tires are great for both street and off-road use, and that seems to fit this CJ perfectly. After all, features like front disc brakes and power steering are part of this Jeep’s cruising package.
We have a receipt file that shows over $15k invested in this Jeep in 2017 that doesn’t even include the eye-catching paint. It all proves that all the best pieces you really wanted in distinct CJ are already in this one and ready to roll today. Call now!
