1978 Jeep Wagoneer Runs Great
I purchased this Jeep AMC Wagoneer 360 Automatic and made it a RUNNING project vehicle for me and my father so we could drive it while working on it. We finished a 79 Camaro and started on this Jeep until he had some health issues arise hence the sale. This is THE model that most Jeep AMC guys want. Right year, right engine. Bound to grow in value. I created a video showing me start the vehicle and do a walk around: What I have replaced to get it driving and licensed for the road:
New carbonation system (far better than stock)
Electric fuel pump (far better than stock)
New ignition system
New starter
New wiring
Fuel lines cleaned and some replaced
I only run non-ethanol gasoline in it to make it run like original specs
Good solid tires
New battery I’ve photographed the exterior rust areas that will need to be addressed as best I could. Typical rust areas for this model and year. Besides the body needing to be reworked, I’m passing along what I know it needs to be a fully restored Wagoneer:
